The room had a great view, but the dining experience was disappointing.

helpful night staff, central car park, historical charm
Sound-proofing is appalling!!! I could easily hear every snore and shower from adjacent rooms, which made for a rather sleepless night. The décor is tired, and the radiator's control knob is a bit of a mess!!!

Friendly and attentive staff made our stay pleasant.
The bathroom was quite small, making it a bit uncomfortable.

Central location near pubs and restaurants makes for easy exploration. Comfortable room size, clean with a decent shower. Breakfast buffet features regularly topped hot food, which was a pleasant surprise.
Some areas show wear and tear, like the bathrooms. the washbasin feels cramped. Noise from the street can be bothersome at night, due to the lively atmosphere. Limited parking forces reliance on street fees, adding to the hassle of staying in the heart of town.

Budget travelers will find it decent
The breakfast was surprisingly good, plenty of choice and the staff were quick to clear tables. The staff were amazing, especially the young gentleman at the front desk who made us feel welcome right from the start.
It wasn't exactly inexpensive, but given the overall experience, still acceptable.
